Finnish National Fish Smoking Championship competition

The Finnish National Fish Smoking Competition will not take place 2021 because of the pandemic. The competition is moved to September 2022.

The Harvest Festival’s Finnish National Fish Smoking Competition

will not be arranged in year 2021


Catching, smoking and eating fish has been a long tradition in the archipelago and to celebrate the food culture the Finnish championship in smoking fish is held in Nagu. The competition is being held for the 4th time this year and if you win, you will become a Finnish Champion.
The fish is from Haverö Salmon Farm in Nagu and the ovens are sponsored by Opa Muurikka. The competitors can use their own spices.

It is free of charge to participate in the competition but you have to sign up beforehand. The first ten will be able to compete.
The judges will choose the winner in front of the audience so everyone can follow the decision.
