Welcome to a maelstrom of soundscapes, where the peace of nature and symphonic harmony intertwine. Composed by Turku Music Festival Artistic Director Lauri Porra, Cabins & Hideouts is a meditative journey to the shores of a lake, the silence of a forest and the warmth of a summer cottage – a place where time slows down and the mind rests.

Players of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, together with composer-basist Porra, brings to life a 24-hour arc from the stillness of the morning to the first rays of the sun, in the span of an hour. The orchestra’s sound merges with the sounds of the forest – the chirping of the finch, the cry of the lark and the breath of nature.

Cabins & Hideouts is a total sound bath experience. Close your eyes and let the music transport you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into the soothing embrace of nature.
