TMF 2026: Elia Lombardini
In the heart of Turku, within the shelter of Betel Church, audiences will experience a concert by violinist and composer Elia Lombardini, where experimental, electronic, and classical music converge. Known from concert halls as well as indie festivals and clubs, Lombardini brings to the Turku Music Festival a performance in which the violin is pushed beyond its conventional expression and the music is shaped by space and moment.
Lombardini constructs his works in real time through live processing of the violin, creating immersive sound worlds that emphasise atmosphere, texture, and emotional depth. Each performance is a unique, moment-specific experience.
At the Turku Music Festival, audiences will hear Lombardini’s new works from an upcoming release for the first time. At the same time, the concert offers a glimpse into an artist whose practice blurs the boundaries between concert performance and sound art.
