The guided videotour

This video explains how the center of Parainen shifted from Old Malmi to the other side of the strait as industry developed.
The video presents the large limestone quarry of Parainen, its history, size, and importance to the local industry. It also explains limestone extraction, the production of cement and stone wool, and the major companies that continue the area’s industrial tradition.
Finally, the video introduces hundbanan next to the quarry and its fitness stairs, which are now a popular place for exercise and sightseeing.
The Archipelago Story Trail is a video-guided tour created along the Archipelago Trail, where archipelago guide Magnus Sundman shares stories and the history of the area. Along the route, there are 21 signs equipped with QR codes, allowing visitors to open the guide on their own phones. The stories can be listened to in any order, either by spotting the QR codes along the route or directly via the website.
